Uisge Gorm FPSO
The ’Uisge Gorm’ is the fourth Bluewater designed, built, owned and operated Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO).
The vessel entered operation 16 August 1995 at the Fife field for Amerada Hess.

In 1997 the Fergus field was tied in and in October 1998 first oil from a second tie-in, Flora, was produced. In October 2001 a third tie in was completed with the addition of the Angus field.
The Uisge Gorm’s main functions are:
  • Receipt of fluids from subsea wells
  • Control of the subsea wells
  • Processing of the incoming fluids for separation into crude, water and gas
  • Storage of the stabilised crude oil and maintaining it at the required temperature
  • Treatment of effluent for discharge of water to the sea
  • Chemical injection
  • Utilisation of part of the produced gas for fuel gas
  • Offloading of crude into ’tandem moored’ shuttle tankers
  • Power generation for process, offloading, utilities and ship systems
  • Provide accommodation for operating and maintenance personnel
  • Provide helideck for helicopter operations
